Sharon,.......where you really fail is that you do not show one shread of evidence supporting a single thing you said above. Have you even read any of Obama's books? In "Dreams From My Father" he speaks about his time in Indonesia where he attended a Muslim School. His father was muslim. In his book "The Audacity of Hope" He speaks about seeking out Marxist College professors, and talks about his mentor Communist "Frank Marshal Davis". [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

He speaks about being drunk and stoned and absent almost his entire Junior and Senior years of High School. These are not carefully crafted lies, they are his own words in his own books. If you choose to close your eyes to the facts Obama has presented himself then you are just a blind follower, who will probably just vote party line no matter what. (Snooker)

Oh, so now you are using Youtube for the "facts" you so proudly present? How do I know that half of this was taken out of context? Edited to the degree that distorts everything he really is saying. That this country was losing 800,000 jobs per month when he took office is a known fact...mentioned many times in the media; and, if you don't know it, then you are more ignorant than I thought. Not stupid...just ignorant of that fact. Another fact: we are gaining jobs now...not losing them at a record pace. Another fact (which will appeal to the rich folks): the stock market has surpassed what it was back in 2008 when the "depression" was in full swing. Fact: the Republican held states are trying to suppress the right to vote. That is a fact that cannot be denied. The worst thing of all is that the Republican held house has not introduced let alone passed one single bill that would help our economy...namely a jobs bill. Like I said: they spell "jobs"...a...b...o...r...t...i...o..n! Deny that one! The Republicans just voted against a bill that would help out our Veterans returning from Iraq to help them find jobs. You tell me why? Is that socialism? Marxism? Communism? I think it is because it is something that the Democrats wanted and the Republicans again said, "NO!"

What Obama did in high school was probably not as bad as what Dubya did in college! Bush was a stoner, and an alcoholic. That didn't stop him from becoming President even though he wasn't qualified! Bush lied to us...took the country into two wars and didn't even think that it was important enough to pay for them. He gave the rich tax breaks instead! "Stupid is as stupid does!" One of the reasons why the surplus Clinton left him was used up and thus Obama was left to clean up his mess. And what a mess it was. Do you not recognize that fact? Obama needed to insert $$ into our economy because the banks that received the bailout $$ didn't loan out the monies like they promised. And, what about the auto "bailout?" It sure helped us here in the Midwest and saved around 1 million jobs! That's a fact. Romney wanted to "Let Detroit go bankrupt!" Well, in a way, they did, but it was the government that oversaw the restructuring of the auto industry; and, it is doing just fine right now. What other facts am I missing, Snooker? All you have said is "read his book" and you will find out what kind of man he is...what his politics are...who he hung out with...blah, blah, blah. I am telling you what he has done as President. Those are the facts. You won't believe any of it, so I am wasting my time. The majority of the voters have already made up their mind who they are going to vote for. Obama is getting my vote and so are ALL of the other Democrats on the ballot. You are right...I wouldn't vote for a Republican today if you paid me!

One or two other things:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Just saw that classic clip from a town hall meeting during the summer of misinformation (the summer of the healthcare debate) when a conservative audience member screamed out to their elected representative something like, "Keep your damn [government] hands off my Medicare!" Without a doubt, that individual would have decried socialism as Satanic or some such nonsense. This post puts socialism in perspective. Little do most folks know is that Medicare, which they love, is socialism plain and simple. The same folks deride ObamaCare as socialism and a "complete government takeover" of healthcare when in fact it was a boon to the private sector. Too bad the President didn't simplify his healthcare proposal to three words: "Medicare for All." Then at least the inevitable heat he would take regardless would have been founded.

Sorry if this rambled a little. Need coffee... Have a great day!

Problem liberals can't come to grips with is yes Bush was a F up and Obama has doubled up on the same F ups. Bush is gone and can no longer cause harm. Obama is in office and continues to abuse the powers of the office and can cause even more harm.

How many jobs were lost prior to 2008? 250,000 isn't squat. As for the stimulis. I see road work all around me here, but I don't see one worker that can speak English. BTW, I see both sides of the fench and I don't see green grass on either side. Question--can anything fix this mess?

In today's standards he would be seen as a conservative. He was for cutting taxes for business, and less government involvement in the peoples affairs.

Snooker, why aren't the bills being passed? I'll bet that not one of those bills is strickly a jobs bill. It usually works like this. Ohio senator--I have a bill for 10 mill to employ 1000 people to inspect barns, gotta keep the cows safe. Colorado senator--that'll work if I can get 5 mill to inpect our ski resorts. Florida senator-- We have a lot of boats down here, how about another 5 mill. Missouri senator-- we have a real good field to build an atom smasher, maybe 25 mill. Georgia senator--I have a college here that could use the opportunity to study results of yellow hummingbirds mating with green hummingbirds. 3 mill will cover that. And that is why many bills don't get passed. I have for example seen $10 million bills get caught up with $100 million in pork.

What can I say. They each have their own agenda. All this stuff goes both ways. We have all these things like you point out. Each one is the result of a select few politicians. You vote against mine and I'll never vote with you again. You add them all together and nothing gets done. I feel for you living out in the land of the bleeding hearts. My 1995 Corvette Convention was in Palm Springs. I got to meet and converse with a bunch from LA. That didn't go well at all. I think we discussed the smog. The first 90% is easy. 90% of what's left is hard. 90% of what is left of that is nearly impossible. They couldn't understand that. They also took offense to my 'bunch of bleeding heart liberal do gooders' comment. Was that politically incorrect?

First of all a bill can be introduced and voted on by the House but has to be passed by the Senate to become law. Sharon You are so misinformed it is almost comical! (Have you ever heard of the filibuster, Snooker? The Senate Republicans have used it more in the past two years than ever before in our history!)I still love ya though! The House has passed 39 jobs bills and the democratic senate refuses to even vote on any of them! You can blame the Senate and Harry Reid. There are 39 bipartisan (bipartisan my arse and I haven't heard of one of these bills except for one anti-abortion bill after another and when a legitimate bill is sent to the Senate there is usually some rider attached having to do with ABORTION!...by the way, your link doesn't work!) jobs bills passed by the House sitting on his desk. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] You can also thank the democrats for not voting on a budget (speaking of the budget...I know you are right about this, but it wouldn't have been passed anyway. The Republicans will not pass any Democratic bill and has shown just that by their many filibusters.) in the past 4 years, including the two years they held the house and a super majority (in number only, Snooker...too many conservative Dems that didn't vote straight Party line and usually not one...I repeat...not one Republican vote for any bill introduced by a Democrat!) in the Senate. Get your facts straight, you keep sticking your foot in your mouth.(To be honest with you, Snooker...I can't get my foot up that high!)
(To be a hn

Snooker...you, and your Right Wing extemists are the ones who don't have their facts straight. You read what agrees with your philosophy as to how this country should be governed...but by all measures, it is "your way or NO way." There has been no co-operation between the House and the Senate/White House since 2010 when the Tea Party took over the Republican Party. I watch MSNBC and read The New York Times, Huffington Post, not much in our local newpapers, but also "The Nation" magazine, "the Daily Beast" "Mother Jones" I also watch Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell. Not one "hate" nor "fear" monger among the lot! They relate the "facts" that you are so sure I am ignorant of. You, however, watch Fox News and read all this hate and fear mongering literature that is out there. Did you know that people who watch Fox News are less informed about politics (and most everything else) than people who don't watch the news at all! Of course, not! Can you in all honesty tell me that the reason the Tea Partiers "hate" Obama is mostly because of his race and not his philosophy? I'm with RL on this one! That was made apparent when they spit on the "blacks" and the Democrats as they walked into the chamber to vote on the Affordable Care Act! And even more apparent when they vote "nay" on bills they themselves once approved and declared as their own. Can you in all honesty tell me that the Republican Party of today is the same as it was when Reagan was President? He wouldn't even be considered a viable candidate today, yet all of the Republicans seem to extol his achievements as one of the greatest Presidents of all time.

Enough with what you believe has been multiple failures by this administration. Can you in all honesty tell me what Romney's vision is for the future of America? You know...the "Etch-a-sketch guy?" I don't even think his own "handlers" know the real Romney. We here in Michigan know him very well. "Let Detroit go bankrupt!" That pretty much sums up what we think of him here! "There are 47% of Americans who rely on the government for things like; food, housing, education and you name it...I can't be concerned with them. They are going to vote for Obama, because he will give all that to them!" Mitt, do you know or even understand that among the 47% whom you mention that don't pay federal income taxes DO pay taxes, ie: property, State and Federal sales tax and alot of them are Republicans and retired people who have paid into the "kitty" their whole working lives! "Stupid is as stupid does!"

The debates start tonight. I know whatever happens is not going to affect the outcome of this election in any major way. Let's see who is the better "zinger" slinger and who really does know the facts and hopefully doesn't "stick his foot in his mouth!"

Sharon

P.S. I'm betting on Obama...LOL!
