JETS SHOULD TRADE UP FOR BARRON Empty JETS SHOULD TRADE UP FOR BARRON

The earliest mock drafts had the Jets picking at #16 for Mark Barron. His stock has risen and unfortunately not the Jets drafting position. Barron is a beast. He'll be able to cover tight ends which hurt the Jets last season.

The papers say that the Cowboys are in need of a safety too. Brother Rob can crush Rex's plan as Dallas picks at # 14.

Tanny who loves to do tricks with numbers, should move up to at least 11 or so.

We'll know more tomorrow. Much more.

I still think that if that trade up it's going to be for Ingram. Barron is a need and he would be a good pick. But the Jets might be able to get away with an average safety if they have a good pass rush. They have to get away from relying on the blitz in order to put pressure on the QB.

Very true. A good pass rusher turns average DB's into good ones. I wouldn't trade up to pick any DB, especially a safety. Trade up for a pass rusher, not a DB.

According to Mayock who is right more than most when you look at this draft three years from now Chandler Jones will be the best defensive player selected. He could be there at 16. Word is that Rex is drooling over him. Or maybe it's just the god damn snacks Laughing

Now the latest today is the Jets should not give up what's necessary to trade up because of the holes needed to fill.

Anyway, Draft minus 12. Enjoy!
