Sorry guys, I pass. Can't stand casino environments...the cigarette smoke alone makes it a no-go.

On your suggestion, caught *The Wolf of Wall Street* last night. I enjoyed it...and thought it was generally well done. I mean--who can't appreciate a movie that opens with the protagonist doing blow out a whore's ass?
In my experience from a realism standpoint--some of the debauchery scenes were an embellishment--but the credibility in the underlying framework of it all is very much intact...and, beyond that--the film is literally sprinkled with tasty little tidbits that reflect insight into a hedonistic world that you don't come by merely in researching a character for a role. This is--for sure--Scorsese's best work in many years and is very effective throughout with his trademark sardonic humor. I thought it was DiCaprio's most compelling performance as well and clearly a role he's suited to carry without the need to do much heavy lifting. Loved McConaughey in his role as well. The casting throughout was incredibly well-done. There wasn't anyone that I recall in that movie who didn't look the part and BE the part. DiCaprio's second wife, for example... Super sexy (that scene where she teases him about no more panties was very hot) but also very credible and consistent to her character. Sexy but not sexual...she used her sexuality as little more than a means of control to get what she wanted. I thought the scene where they first were together was masterfully done in making the point that she didn't cum...
Every player in this plot--from DiCaprio...to his wife...to his employees...to the FBI agent to the pawns buying the stocks to begin with--they all were in a big convoluted web where one was feasting off the exploitation of another--but where no one was really ever satisfied because no two entities could ever cum together...
Just like it's done every day out there--McConaughey sells the dream early in the movie to DiCaprio that you CAN win and be fully satisfied without the participation of any other parties (you get your commission and all its trappings no matter what happens with the stock)--but the movie goes on to demonstrate that long term you simply can't prevail over what nature intends--and nature doesn't allow for anything/anyone to be truly satisfied without it being inherently good enough to be a shared satisfaction. Win/win. Anything less is empty, shallow, unsustainable and tragic...and, right down to the FBI agent the movie closes with as, somber and unsatisfied, he rides his public transportation home--Scorsese does a masterful job of reflecting the depth of his wisdom into human nature in how *having it all* is really an empty virtue when it was all founded on taking...and not giving...

I hate the smoke, too. But I have found some that smoking and non-smoking sections. But not many. Wind up having to take clothes to the dry cleaner. I just give the money to the old lady so she can play and I head over to hear the band if there is one.

This is one of my favorite "Sports Memorabilia" places to visit when I'm up that way in NY. The owner has quite a vast collection from all sports. Just a shame that the food is mediocre.

Went there in the mid-1990s , but not with Sheila LOL LOL,.........had lunch there.......probably just a burger and fries.........I doubt Fireball even existed back then. Amazing sports memorabilia collection on display...........a great place to soak in the history. There was a small Packers section of memorabilia...........which makes the place even better !!
