Cleveland reports the Browns are attempting to re-sign free agent C Alex Mack.
With GM Ray Farmer and coach Mike Pettine now running the show, the team is interested in locking Mack up long-term. The previous regime had planned to let Mack hit the open market without much of a fight. Mack is coming off arguably his best season, making the Pro Bowl and being named a second-team All-Pro. He's yet to miss a single snap in five NFL seasons. Mack is one of the top free agents, regardless of position.
