Good win for the Jets
Congrats on a good win. The Jets deserved to win; the Pats deserved to not win. Simple as that. The division now tightens up.

Thanks Gup...
You are a righteous dude!
I'm getting too old for this up and down suspense. I had the Jets losing about 3-4 times in the second half.
Been watching Brady since 2001. No matter who his line is, he has so much time back there, he could shave.
The only comparison I could make to him is when Sandy Kofax was on the mound.
Either team could have won. The winds of fortune went to the Jets on this day.

Nice to see us pick up a win against the Pats. I don't know how good this team may be, but they don't appear to be as bad as many of us had feared. I would like to see more consistency from the offense from week to week.

I think this team has tremendous capability on defense. Antonio Allen stepped up today and made a big difference. Safety was a big ? going into this season and Allen's play has solidified that position. They could still use a pass rush specialist. Despite the great defensive effort, Brady had a lot of time to throw. On offense, it's all about Smith. He's a playmaker, but he's also a rookie and mistakes are going to be a part of him for while. Nevertheless, because he is a rookie, his mistakes are magnified. Brady threw a pick six today and so did Tannehill for Miami. So it will happen to the best of QB's too. Cumberland made some nice catches, but he also dropped two catchable balls that hurt the Jets reminding us of why he was an undrafted free agent. It's all about mistakes. If they can cut down on penalties and turnovers they can play with anyone.rdariusxxxx wrote:....I don't know how good this team may be, but they don't appear to be as bad as many of us had feared. I agree with your assessment, pretty much all around. Smith has a real upside as a Jets QB. He can throw the deep ball with some accuracy, and he can be a threat to run, something different from the stationary QB's we've pretty much always had. I didn't like Mornhinweg as the Lion's head coach. He was rather inflexible with his system. He didn't have the personnel. I like him as our OC though, at least so far. He's running the ball, but he still takes shots down the field.
Penalties have hurt us, and we have to do better. Cut down on them, keep Smith comfortable, and play the really good D we've been playing, and yes, we can play with anyone.
Now, can we play with anyone again next week? A fair question, but I am ever the optimist.
