ESPN experts not so expert this time.
So much for the ESPN "experts" and their picks.
Hey Jaws and Coach Ditka, I always knew you were the only smart ones in the bunch. LOL.

Re: ESPN experts not so expert this time.
I never bought into, "Rodgers is the best quarterback in the NFL". You know I'm being objective when I say it's Brady.
He proved it time and again. (I know Peyton is having an unbelievable year).
I think the combination of Belichick and Brady is amazing. Cannot say how they'd do without each other.
Peyton is on pace for 6000 yards and 62 TDs!!!
But....Peyton did the "Pete Rose Travel Show", picked his team, they built around him (Welker) and made the landscape as controlled as possible, and he's doing a remarkable job.
For me...."145 days 'til pitchers and catchers"

Re: ESPN experts not so expert this time.
Before last night's game the Patriots were "the worst 3-0 team in football."
Now, they are "the worst 4-0 team in football."
And next week I am looking forward very much to them becoming "the worst 5-0 team in football."
I kinda like this new and different look this year. I love being "the worst undefeated team in football."

Oh sure, if you want to throw out stats, I'm sure overall they do know best. I was just referring to last nights game and how only two picked the Pats to win. Geez!George1963 wrote:Right Sheila! And your point is?
I thought the media always kiss the Pats' ass according to you -- except when they mostly all pick against them though, huh?
The entire world picked the Pats over the Giants in the SB, not just the ESPN people. They were heavy favorites for a reason. The result was a huge upset most would agree.
As far as Falcons/Pats yesterday, different story. Maybe they picked the Falcons to win because they were at home, where they have a great W-L record. But in no way should they at 1-2 been as heavily favored over the 3-0 Pats as the Pats were over the G-Men in the SB. Not an apples to apples comparison. The Giants win was a stunner. The Pats win yesterday was not as shocking.
I know every post -- take that back, 99% of your posts -- must contain some type of shot at the Pats, such as they don't deserve the ass kissing they get from the media, but I just showed you how they (the media) don't kiss up to them as much as you say. And I love it when they are wrong when I'm on the winning end ---- just as Giants fans must have loved it when they proved the world wrong when the NY beat NE.
I know you predicted (and I really didn't dispute it) that this was going to be an ugly year for the Pats, given the roster situation. But how we doing so far at the quarter pole? As expected, or exceeding expectations?

Gup, it's not so much George taking potshots at the Pats. I think it goes back to BB's Cleveland days that burns him.
As the ad says..."I don't leave teams often, but when I do.."
(see BB's exit from the Jets too).
