Long way to go. This series is going to be like the stock market. You're going to have ups and downs.
Could go seven.

Oh yes, it's going to be a great series, which is always best then a runaway dominate one sided team.

Rut...roh is right.
Big Z is defending like Vince Wilfork out there. Taking up a lot of space and making it hard to get anything through. LOL.

I vaguely remember Fisk-Munson. I became interested in the Yankees in '77. I remeber of course when Munson died of course.
Born a Brooklyn Dodgers fan then no fan, then a Mets fan.
Now not the biggest baseball fan, but I like the Yankees and Mets but not even close to fanatacism.

So if you had to rank your favorite teams, beginning with the one you get the most emotional over, what would be your top 3 or 4? And I'm talking about now, today, because I think it can certainly change over the years.
For example, my earliest memory of being a sports fan was of the Celtics first before the other teams. And I think that's because basketball was my favorite sport to play myself vs. football, baseball or hockey. I also became hooked on the C's first because of guys named Russell, Havlicek, Satch Sanders, and the Jones boys - Sam and K.C. It wasn't too long after that I was asking the question, "Who is this guy with the funny name, (Yazstremski) who is going to replace Ted Williams in left field? I learned later that Yaz was a good Long Island boy, so I guess we stole another NYer and made him ours. lol

Believe-it-or-not, I get more aggravated with the Jets these days then years ago. They went thru so many qurterbacks, all we got were competitive performances at best. When Parcells was the coach, the Jets were basically consensus pick to win the SB.
Vinny tore his achilles hell in game 1. Bye-bye another season.
Everyone learns how to throw and catch first, so I can say baseball becomes the first sport since all games start off with the need to throw and catch. I know, not hockey, etc.
I remember watching the Brooklyn Dodgers with my dad on our black and white tv. I was so young, they moved to L.A. before I knew it. Brooklyn was so tightly knit, many urban experts say that was the beginning of the end for the borough of Brooklyn.
Gup, "what NY makes, the world takes." Red Auerbach coached junior high in Brooklyn. Vince Lombardi is from Brooklyn. Bob Cousy was a Queens boy, Marv Alpert is a Brooklyn boy. The list, just in sports; is endless. Yaz lived quite east on the Island. I think his family were potato farmers. Great ball player, as was another Brooklyn boy who went north, Rico Petrocelli. Rico had several basketball scholarships, but chose baseball.

In Cousy's day, the territorial draft existed. Ergo, from Holy Cross, the Celtics had his rights.
I remember doing a book report on himin junior high, and got up to read a part and said "Wor-chest-er" instead of "Wooster".
He was raised in the St. Albans section of Queens where Stephen A. Smith hails. The next neighborhood yielded Anthony Mason, Kenny Anderson and a few others.
