Whether he will play or not may not be his decision, but if it was, Steelers wide receiver would be on the field against the Cleveland Browns in Week 12.

The high ankle sprain [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] suffered in Week 10 against the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] came just six quarters away from the shoulder and rib injuries suffered by quarterback [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Their absence immediately changed the face of the entire offense. Running the ball has become a bit more of a chore in the time they've been out, but scoring - or the lack thereof - is the most prominent feature of the injury-depleted offense.

Brown told reporters recently he's looking to change all that with a return to the field Sunday when the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] take on the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] in Week 12.

Whether he does play, or the extent to which Brown can be effective, remains to be seen, but the fact he's that close to returning has to be viewed as a positive thing for Steeler Nation, considering the barrage of injuries the team has faced to this point in the season.

Already listed as out are quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger (right shoulder and ribs) and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (ribs), offensive tackle [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (ankle) and WR [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (ribs).

Safety Troy Polamalu practiced on a limited basis Friday, but is still listed as doubtful for Sunday's game.

RB [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (concussion) passed all tests, and is listed as probable. Defensive end [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], who missed time earlier this week with a back injury, practiced fully and is expected to play Sunday.

Left guard [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (knee) missed Wednesday and Thursday, but practiced on a limited basis Friday and looks to play Sunday.
