My brother called me this morning and said he was offering me what might be the last ticket he'd ever have to see two Hall of Fame QBs play against each other. I hopped in the car and now I'm in a motel in Woburn MA. (I refuse to sleep in his crappy den) I realized somewhere in New Jersey that he said the same thing in 1997. I made the trip from Nevada. Marino played two more years and Bledsoe, well, you know. I realized just outside Hartford that I have a date on Saturday night. I realized when I was checking in that I had two pairs of jeans, socks, drawers, and three golf shirts in my bag.
To go to a football game in Massachusetts in November.
What the hell is wrong with me?

Awesome story. That's what's its all about. Being a fan. I really hope you have a great time. Where are your seats?
By the way, before I checked the forum and seeing your post I just came back from going out for coffee and a walk. I decided to go to Gillette and walk around Patriot Place and get my coffee there. I'm only 15 minutes away, so I just went an walked around. I was there at 6:30am, and no one was around. Damn, it was cold and windy. I think its going to be perfect Patriot football weather. Hot chocolate. Or something stronger.
Three golf shirts. I suggest you go to Bass Pro Shop Next to Patriot Place and get something warm to wear. You could go to Eastern Mountain Sports or some other store right at Patriot Place, but they're too pricey. Check out Bass Pro Shop.
Why Woburn? Is that where your brother lives?
Have a great time. Really. Don't pay no mind to the Massholes. Have a drink at CBS Scene, if you can get in. Or Bar Louie. Whatever. You brother probably has plans.
I'm jealous. Just trying to figure out where to watch it myself. Need to be out amongst the people. Need to feel the energy.

Front row of the third level at about the 20. Section 305 or something. Good seats, he's had them for a long time.

Perfect Broncos weather too Gup.

I would live at Bass Pro if they'd let me, but I'll just grab a sweatshirt off Gerry and wear one of the shirts over it. Maybe the Colts Super Bowl one.

He's taking the RV. It's always a bash. He's a pro, been doing it a long time.

That's why God invented barrooms. And cabs.
It should be a great one. I'm pretty excited. Not sure who I should be rooting for, but I'll figure it out by kickoff.

Re: 14 hours later
Ya, the real fans know that bad weather does not necessarily mean advantage Patriots. Brady may be the best bad weather quarterback ever, but Manning can handle it too. The weather is the same for both teams, and gives neither one an advantage. Belichick, above all, knows that.
Hopefully the Broncos don't go up 24-0 in the first half like they did last year, and force Tommy to mount an epic come back again. I truly gave up on that game in the first half. It should be great. I don't know when the last time the Pats were home dogs, but no doubt that is motivation. We know Denver is going to get to the endzone multiple times. Its a question of whether the Pats can match it and not settle for Gostkowski 45 yarders.
Really, the whole key to this game from a Patriots perspective is whether Nate Solder and Sebatian Vollmer can block Demarcus Ware and Von Miller. If they can block them and protect Tom, Pats have a chance. If they can't block them and they consistently put big hits on Tom, no way we win. That's it. That's the whole game right there.

I can see a way that the Broncos pass rush can be slowed down. One of them almost has to give Gronk a shot at the line which will make the job of whichever tackle is on that side much easier. Either that or they double him which leaves who singled? Edelman? 5 yard quick hit anytime Tom wants it. I'll take that.
That aside, the Broncos offense is terrifying. They have to negate the yac and go for strips to have any chance of slowing them down. Bend but don't break won't cut it. They have the running game and the TE to get it done in the redzone.
You were right about the Pats not settling for fgs. The Broncos won't be.

To go to a football game in Massachusetts in November.
What the hell is wrong with me?
I saw on the news this am that it's snowing in the Carolinas. I looked it up and it was 40 and snotty when you left. What the hell is wrong with you? Did you think the weather would get better the farther north you went? Or were you just so excited to see Tom Brady and whats his name that you couldn't think straight?
I can see that.
Enjoy the game.

Bleacher Report’s Mike Dussault compiled a Belichick hoodie database, which shows game-by-game results based on what type of sweatshirt the New England Patriots coach wore. Here’s the breakdown, dating from 2003 until the end of last season: Screen Shot 2014-10-31 at 1.25.31 PM

George, Got any stories from the game?
Did you have a good time?
I think Peyton Manning made the case that he is Wilt Chamberlain,
while Tom Brady made the case that he is Bill Russell.

You know, football games, car races, cock fights, I don't think I've ever had a bad time at any of 'em.

while Tom Brady made the case that he is Bill Russell.
In the sense that one of them is the better player and the other has played on a team that won more titles? That case was made years ago.
I'll tell you about it later. I'm very tired and need to take to my bed. I can't be pulling this type of nonsense anymore.

Ice up son, ice up. You've got to get it together for Colts-Giants.
You live 15 hours away, and I live 15 minutes away, but yet it was you that got to go and witness a little bit of football history unfold before your eyes. I know you appreciated seeing firsthand the redemption of a team many left for dead only five weeks ago. So I don't want to hear no whining. lol.

It's in Indy Gup. The Patriots can't leave the field uncovered for two days of rain, turn off Lucks radio in the middle of a drive, mess with the clock, of do whatever the hell else they're doing to have such an unnaturally high succsess rate at home.

OMG. Where do you come up with this stuff?
Two rings as a player, one as a coach. He backed up Joe Montana for the first, and Jeff Hostetler with the Giants for the second. He was a coach with the Ravens for his third ring. In college, played on the same Pitt Panther team with Tony Dorsett, and won the national championship in the Sugar Bowl. He was MVP of the game. Drafted by the Pats in the second round in 1978.
Looks like he holds a great clipboard. Mostly backed up Steve Grogan, but also (ugh) Tony Eason too.

"unnaturally"? LOL. 41 straight home wins vs. the AFC is not unnatural at all. Its magic. I'm just trying to give your boys a friendly little warning.
Even TB12 didn't know how The Beast made The Catch. Play the sound, and you hear TB12 say, "How the f... did you catch that?"
