First phase of  Green Bay stadium construction....Fence post marks current 50 yard line.
Harold Baker, a Green Bay Street Department worker, cuts barbed wire from a pasture fence as site work begins for the Packers’ new stadium on Oct. 11, 1956. New City Stadium went up on 48 acres of farmland at Highland Avenue and Ridge Road, then virtually the southwest edge of town. Press-Gazette archives
