Forte has done his best to make the organization look bad in repeated ESPN appearances, complaining about his contract status. He was not-happy-after-bears-signing of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], even though shared rushing attempts could actually work to prolong Forte's career.

Forte is a good back. New GM Phil Emery knows it, or else he wouldn't have slapped Forte with the franchise tag. But the Bears now have a starting-caliber replacement, and can find another on day two of the draft. On the trade market, Forte could fetch a second-round pick and then some.

That would cost the Browns their 4th overall pick in the draft if so, and although Matt Forte is a damn good back, very hard runner and can catch the ball out of the backfield I wouldnt give up the 4th pick for him when the Bama back is right there waiting, now I would give hard thought to the 2nd pick but only if it was a sign and trade, not giving up a high draft pick for a guy that could say see ya later after one season.

They're not saying that, they're saying a second round pick and a 6 rounder.

3rd round pick but not without a sign n trade and the contract must have 4 years in the deal.
