DEAD MONEY Empty DEAD MONEY

According to the RMS, the Jets [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] as of the start of this week. Compare that to the Panthers who have a $17 million dead money charge, mostly due to trading Jon Beason.

Of course, the Jets could jump right into the top five in Seifert’s dead money list once they cut Santonio Holmes ($2.5 million in dead money), Mark Sanchez ($4.8 million in dead money) and Antonio Cromartie ($5.4 million). Those moves might add $12 million in dead money, but they will free up $26 million in 2014 cap space for the Jets as they look to add starters and depth throughout their roster.
