Wow, this is not fair at all. If a fan is willing to travel across the country and pay the money for food and lodging and the ticket price, they should most certainly be allowed to, in fact, welcomed to!

But as far as I know, NE does not. Denver may have the right to do it, but what are they afraid of?
If NE did this the outcry would be heard from coast to coast.

NE did it in 2010 after seeing like 10,000 Ravens fans at Gillette for the 2009 wild card game.guppy wrote:Dmounts wrote:New England gets home field advantage they can do the samething.

It's symbolic anyway. There's tons of tickets on the secondary market. There were probably 6 or 8 thousand Ravens fans at Gillette again last year.

BTW I have no problem with the Broncos or the Pats or anyone else doing it. If they could find a way to shut out opposing teams fans completely, more power to them.
You want your home field to be as homey as possible, right?

Yes George, that does make sense.

I don't know. Sure, you can do it if you like. Personally, I think its bad form. You can sell mostly to your home crowd, but to shut out completely anyone from the "wrong" zip code and give them no shot whatsoever to buy a ticket, sucks imo.
But its OK, I heard a bunch of NE fans are looking to take over John Elway's restaurant on game day. Hopefully, Mr. Elway will accept their credit cards.

Re: New Englanders can't buy tickets
Much is being made about the Seattle Seahawks' choice to restrict ticket sales to people with California addresses for Sunday's NFC Championship Game but no 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh. "Well, it's within the rules," Harbaugh said Monday. "It's within the spirit of the rules of the National Football League. I actually respect it, what you're trying to do for your team, put them in the best possible position to win that you can.
"And I respect that their organization does that for their team. They do that in a lot of ways, with their team, with their fans, with their organization. So, what do I think of it? I respect it."
