Matt Flynn just signed with the Seahawks. The Dolphins lost Peyton, Flynn was probably their second option.

GONE!

If Peyton doesn't sign with the 49ers, Alex Smith will probably stay there, leaving Miami with Matt Moore.

Or the draft.

Memo to J-Lo.

Be in Ross's office tomorrow. Owners. meeting.

You have to wonder why nobody seems to want to play for Miami these days. Is their ownership group that bad?

Play or coach - apparently Fisher couldn't get out of there fast enough. Used them for leverage with the Rams.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, unlike the few remaining charter NFL owners, made his money in other fields.

He is a huge developer stuck on celebrity. Dolphins fans complain during games the large TV screen shows Marc Anthony and Paula Abdul more thanfootball action.

Difficult enough in south Florida to compete with other things to have a successful sports franchise.(Excluding the Heat) When the Marlins won the WS, they still only got 15,000 at games.

Shula and Joe Robbie got it right.

This is a great time to be in a situation like Fisher's, Manning's and their agents. The media can be used to do just about anything these days.

Knowing that Manning wouldn't reveal his choice until after the week-end, The NFL Network still had an entire 2 hour show on Manning last night. The media is half of sport's problems today. An NFLer over the week-end mentioned he wants to be on Sports Center highlights. That doesn't necessarily mean a top play, it could be showboating after an average, "that's what-you-get-paid -to-do" play.

The print media is just as bad.
