How long will AP be satisfied playing for a perrenial loser?
With the current coaching staff and personnel the Vikings have put on the field, this is a legitimate question. I don't know the status of Peterson's current contract, but does anyone think he will continue to be satisified playing for a team that constantly plays not to lose? WTF was Musgrave thinking when he settles for 3 points that close to the goal line instead of going for 6? Ponder had his moments, but he still threw a pick 6 which decided the outcome of the game. He is at best, a back up for any other team in the league. Any thoughts? This board is awfully quiet.

I hear you MrEd. It was a painful thing to watch as we so needed a TD out of one of our last 2 field goals....game over if that had happened. It was almost like "we are sunk" when the Bears got the ball back with a few minutes to go. Have seen this scenerio WAY too many times over the last number of years. To lose with 10 seconds to go hurts like hell. Make that maxi-hell as I live in Bear country.MrEd4748 wrote:With the current coaching staff and personnel the Vikings have put on the field, this is a legitimate question. Don't know about AP's contract but he is the heart of our game, incredible attitude and a human freak coming back from his knee injury. Talk about us being sunk without him...'nuff said. Bear's defense was to stack the line with 7-8 to stop him. Good plan as they did not fear Ponder's passing ability and we have some worthy receivers. We definately have the receivers necessary to achieve if the QB can get it to them We will see a stacked line this season until Ponder cuts them a new one.
As to Ponder, he has disappointed. Had hopes for him with some experience. Experience he has had but not significant improvement. Only thing the Bear game brought me was the fact that he was one helluva lot more efficient the second half than the first. Suspect he hit on 30-40% of passes in the first and guesing he hit 65-%+ in the second? Not sure but he looked a ton better in the second half. May bode well for the rest of the season??

I can agree with most everything you posted Gb but the defense HAS to make the stop on that game winning Bear TD. The D coordinator is apparently 'learning on the job'. He is as bad a D coordinator as Musgrave is an O coordinator. Why no time out when it was obvious that the Bears had a mismatch on the play side where Martellus Bennet line up? The Viking players all said as much after the game...but if was a complete cluster fuck trying to adjust after the snap. Absolutely unacceptable...

Complete idiocy ...as expected from this troll. Ponder's int pick 6 hurt but it DID NOT "decide the outcome of the game". The defense 's inability to stop Cutler and the Bears final drive decided the outcome of the game. Also, (if you want to get technical), the offense's inability to cash in a TD before the Bears last drive cost the Vikings the game as a Bear TD would have not hurt them or jepordize victory.
You picked up right where you left off horse breath.

So it didn't DECIDE the outcome. It definitely was the DIFFERENCE in the final score. Add it up any way you want, Thor. It's still an L. As in 0-2. Seriously, after all this time all you got is more name calling instead of a civil answer to a legit question? And you call ME a troll. WTF? Douchbag rankings? You're really special there, buddy.Thor11 wrote:With the current coaching staff and personnel the Vikings have put on the field, this is a legitimate question. And btw.....if you actually read ALL of my post, I believe I clearly explained what really cost the Vikings the game vs Chicago,,,,but naturally, you were too concerned and focused on some 'hot' words that hurt your poor iddy biddy feelings....awww! Try to calm your bucking bronco attitude and read a little more carefully before you melt down there mr thoroughbred.Thor11 wrote:So it didn't DECIDE the outcome. Thanks for your response to my post, Gbjerke. It seems as though I've struck a nerve with a certain poster named Thor. I asked what I thought was a legit question, which you answered quite well. You see, I spend some time on the Packers board and it just really seems to get under ol Thor's skin. I appreciate your answer and look forward to future posts from you. I know the Green Bay fans give Thor a bad time, but I'm not exactly sure what I did to piss the youngster off. Maybe his mom and dad cut his hours on the computer and he's taking it out on me. Seems I'm not only a bitch, but a douchebag as well. Anyway, if you would like to continue talking Vikings football, I'll gladly oblige.Gbjerke wrote:I hear you MrEd.
