Unfortunately for Tim, its a business. There's no crying in football. Best of luck to him wherever he might go.
My suggestion: Canadian Football League, like Flutie did.

BB is....well a great, all-time great coach.
When it comes to personnel decisions, not-so-great.
I won't bring up Haynsworth, or Ochocinco and others. Oops. The days of certain coaching personalities being able to handle problem children seem over. A Parcells of 20 years ago couldn't handle the players of today.
Tebow? What did Belichick expect?
If you don't set up packages for him, it's a waste of time. Tebow has proven he cannot throw the ball. 11-30? Not NFL timber.
If you make him a TE, WR, RB, the moment you change his status, he'd be in the bottom five in the NFL for any of the aforementioned.
Like it was said, he's a good football player , but not singularly to a certain postion.
Best of luck, TT.

That kills my theory of why they had him around. That BB thinks if Brady gets hurt he'll need two guys to replace him.

Truthfully, I haven't heard anyone come up with a viable theory why he was brought in in the first place. Only Bill knows. And he is too mysterious to try to understand.

George, you're rarely wrong. Was your tongue in your cheek for this?George1963 wrote:That kills my theory of why they had him around. That BB thinks if Brady gets hurt he'll need two guys to replace him.
When Tebow beat out Orton for QB at Denver, the whole offense was changed. The Jets wasted their time, his time, the fans time.
On to Patriot Place.
I thought BB would have some trickery. Nope.
No team will have two completely different offenses.
I could see installing a wildcatpackage with the starter.....When Tebow came into a Jets game it was a telegraph sounding louder then Big Ben at midnight.

"rarely" LR?
I'll have you know that George is never wrong...except, of course, for those times that I politely, for his own benfit, and with all good intentions, dispassionately inform him that he's wrong.
Right George?

Re: Tim Tebow released...
Maybe it read like I was being flip, but I wasn't. My thinking was he doesn't have great confidence in Mallet so if Brady went down he'd use the trickeration of spotting Tebow in certain situations. Only thing I could come up with but with TT cut that's out the window. Although it could be a Foxborough cut. "Keep your playbook and don't sign with anyone else Tim."guppy wrote:George1963 wrote:That kills my theory of why they had him around. Speaking for myself, I definitely did not read your statement as being flip at all.

(George)
Reasons were given above why it won't happen, the question is; why did it happen?
Even Pats fans on Florio's PFT were expecting some magic to happen from Gillette.
