I'm gonna miss him, but then.... I have been missing him the past 2 seasons too. James wanted too much money to stay..... apparently he thinks he has more than the Steelers do..... I think the rest of the NFL is about to inform James.... his tank has run dry. I really don't see another NFL team paying him what he wants.leejr wrote:Steelers release James Harrison

Re: Harrison is Released
James Harrison was fantastic against the run last year, and he improved as a pass rushing force as he got healthier. Hampton and Harrison will both be gone...teams are going to be running all over the Steelers, me thinks.

Re: Harrison is Released
Everytime a Steeler star is let loose... the same things are said... rarely does the released player have anywhere near the same success as what they enjoyed in Pittsburgh. I doubt the Steelers were wanting to release James... more they got caught in a situation of cap space and he simply did not want to accept less to stay... his choice created the need of a business decision. He may have a decent year somewhere else... but James' days as a premier LB are over...Dmounts wrote:He'll look good in a Raiders Uniform

I have no problem with this move based on the money involved and Harrison's injuries and performance over the last two years. The real issue is, the Steelers normally have someone to step up and fill the void when they let someone go. I don't see anyone on the current roster being able to step in and make an impact in Harrison's absence.

Re: Harrison is Released
Let's pray for an outstanding draft.... we could use one at this point. Maybe that person is on the roster and we haven't seen it yet. I remember when James first stepped out.... no one saw that coming either.DaBurgh wrote:leejr wrote:Steelers release James Harrison
