 My guess is that it has something to do with the Boston bombings...seat cushions...I don't get that. Easy to hide explosives in them?

I think it has more to do with the fact they know that women use their purses to bring in refreshments and this is a way to force people to spend more $$$$$$$ at the concessions.  I don't buy the terrorist thing for one second.  Besides, don't they make everyone go through metal detectors to get into the game?

It was like this after 9/11, and then they eased up.   I am sure it's just precaution again after the Boston Bombing.

I agree Die, the purse,diaper bags and so fourth all has to do with sneaking in booze and food, as for the seat cushions, its the same deal, if your ass is uncomfortable you want to get up and walk around and that walk leads to the food and booze stations.

the only reason I brought this up as somewhat odd was the diaper bag. I have small children that I "may" want to take to the game  , now I cant bring in a simple diaper bag for them, that can easily be searched.
