Funny stuff but, you know there is no Fitzie, right? It's a character played by an actor named Nick Stevens. A New York actor.
He, like many Boston "fans", only showed up when the teams started winning.

I'm glad you have a sense of humor (which I already knew that anyway)....unlike some Jets fans who are way too serious. Like the fan in this video that didn't quite agree with the team drafting on defense instead of offense. LOL:

That is some wicked pissah information there George. But not exactly 100% accurate. (What a shock! ) Nick Stevens went to New York University, and settled in New York afterwards to work in the entertainment industry, and he created his "Fitzy" character there. But that doesn't make him a "New York actor" in my mind. Why? Because he is originally from Braintree, Mass. He said of his "Fitzy" character, "He has the accent I used to have, and wears clothes I used to wear"....which includes a red nylon Patriots jacket that he got when he was 11 years old. Like most Boston fans, the majority of whom I know are diehard, (ie. are, like Nick Stevens, were fans before "winning"), if you ask him to name the four seasons of the year, his answer would not be spring, summer, fall and winter; it would be baseball, basketball, hockey and football. So, as "Fitzy" would probably say at this point, "GFY". lol.
A Fitzy classic from 2007 worth another look: "Leave Bill Belichick alone" - a take off on the "Leave Britney Spears alone" youtube video that went viral back then:

Just because Marky Mark was born in Dorchester doesn't mean he wasn't an LA actor playing a role in The Departed. Just that his accent was more authentic.
Anyway, funny though he is, I don't understand why people are so into a made-up Boston fan when the real ones can be so much more amusing;

Do you know how many countless people of fame and not of fame are considered New Yorkers?
Not only in sports, but in all fields, you think of a certain person, and you think of New York.
Buttfumble: I wanted Rex to start Tebow after week 5 at least. So not to defend Sanchez who aggravated me plenty beginning on Thanksgiving Day night, I will.
Woolfork pushed Brandon Moore (G), into the backfield right into Sanchez. Good playing by Woolfork, and it could have been any quarterback in that scenario. It's a terrible label that will attached to Sanchez forever, like a "Wrong Way" Corrigan.
A shame, because Mark is a good guy.
I wouldn't expect a "Giants fan" first to understand that.

Brandon Moore is considered to be the best athlete ever to come out of my high school.
I'm not sure if that says more about him or West Side High.

Sheila, now you see what I have to go through?
What kind of insensitive, cold, callous, uncaring, unfeeling individual would post such a heartless and cruel satire here?
Any words of comfort or guidance from you as the most levelheaded one would be greatly appreciated at this most difficult and troublesome time.

Sorry Gup, you'll just have to wait. She's busy on other teams' boards. Even a "Brady whine" won't help.

Well, after enduring all this psychological trauma inflicted on me , I needed a pick-me-up to lift my spirits. So I reached back into memory lane and watched good ole boy Gronk, and listened to the 1812 Overture.......at the same time.

Stay strong my friend! Don't ever let someone's jabs at your team get you down! A true fan is always a fan through the wins and through the losses. Some teams just lose more than others! Say what??

All kidding aside, I played football for 2 years in college and I was amazed how good some of those guys were. I'd see guys from my school and teams we played on the field or on film that I was as big as, strong as, quick as, everything, and I'd think, "I can't do that." And this was a Div 3 program in the second year of its existence. So for Moore to a) play at a big school and b) have a long career in the NFL, I can't even imagine how dominant he must have been in high school.

Ya, you're right, naturally. LR is like a brother, and he's invited to fire away at my teams any time he wishes. To him I say, keep those jabs coming, and "Hit me with your best shot." Whatever joy the sports gods deliver me, I'll gratefully accept in stride, knowing all the while that "you can't win 'em all." Sometimes you just have to cope. lol
