McGee's roster spot seems uncertain and Carpenter, in limited reps, has done some good things. Carpenter doesn't have the arm strength McGee has, but this could be his chance to move up the depth chart with a good effort.

A preseason feel: The Cowboys will come out and work out like normal in the Sunday walkthrough, but before the scrimmage starts the players will exercise as if this were a preseason game. Coach Jason Garrett wants to give the younger players a feel for what a preaseason game is like.
