JOE FLACCO
HE SHOULD BE THE HIGHEST PAID QUARTERBACK IN THE NFL. HE JUST WON THE SUPER BOWL! HOW MANY QUARTERBACKS CAN GO 4 STRAIGHT PLAYOFF GAMES WITHOUT THROWING AN INTERCEPTION, AND WIN ALL 4? HE WAS THE FIRST. ELEVEN TOUCHDOWNS AND NO PICKS TYING JOE MONTANA. THAT IS GREAT COMPANY TO BE IN. IS HE AN ELITE QUARTERBACK? I SAY YES.

Re: JOE FLACCO
I wanted the Browns to draft Flacco but like most drafts before Heckart came and then was ( BAD FREAKING MOVE) fired by the Browns they have always decided to draft for need instead of taking the best player on the board, Flacco IMO has been the top 5 QB's in the league the past few years but I would wait and see how things go in 2013 before calling him elite and in no way compare him to the likes of Joe Montana right now, but if he can win while putting up impressive numbers in 2013 then I would rethink putting the ELITE tag on him especially after his #1 guy was traded to San Fran, I still cant see how they allowed the 49ers to get him for a 6th round pick, there must have been something going on there besides having cap problems, Bolden is much better then a 6th rd pick, it sounds like they traded him to the very first offer put on the board.

Probably the reason the Browns did not draft Flacco in 2008, was because you had a Pro-Bowl QB in Derek Anderson, who led the Browns to a 10-6 season in 2007. Admittingly, after we went 5-11 in 2007, that lead to Brain Billick being fired, I always wondered why we got rid of Anderson (who the Ravens drafted in 2005), and kept Boller. Anderson was a 1 year wonder, and Boller never panned out. Flacco was a godsend. Glad he is on our team.

Re: JOE FLACCO
Anderson getting to the pro bowl was by default because all the other QB's that were voted in befor him were going to the SB, and the Browns wqere still looking for a QB after that season bcause they knerw Anderson wasnt going to be the franchise QB everyteam needs, either way I was just commenting on how good I believe Facco is and he still has not hit his peak as a player, Flaccois going to continue to get better over the next couple of years, the guy never stops to amaze me on how damn good he throws the deep ball, the only guy I can compare Flacco to is ( THE MAD BOMBER) Daryle Lamonica, but Flacco throws med and short routes well also.JONL95 wrote:wyckedheart8 wrote:I wanted the Browns to draft Flacco but like most drafts before Heckart came and then was ( BAD FREAKING MOVE) fired by the Browns they have always decided to draft for need instead of taking the best player on the board, Flacco IMO has been the top 5 QB's in the league the past few years but I would wait and see how things go in 2013 before calling him elite and in no way compare him to the likes of Joe Montana right now, but if he can win while putting up impressive numbers in 2013 then I would rethink putting the ELITE tag on him especially after his #1 guy was traded to San Fran, I still cant see how they allowed the 49ers to get him for a 6th round pick, there must have been something going on there besides having cap problems, Bolden is much better then a 6th rd pick, it sounds like they traded him to the very first offer put on the board.
