Vegas has the Colts favored by 2.5.

These teams are close on paper.  The Colts have to give a couple points being the home team.

Sounds about right.  Vegas knows.

I have no problem with the spread.

As far as the girl, I think she most likely did it out of honor and tribute.

I read this on ESPN.com. He's wrong about one thing though. Colts offense is better on the road.

Just on pure strength and beastieness, ie., tough to tackle, I would say Luck is one of the top three strongest qbs in the league, right up there with Ben.  And I think he's probably a little faster than Ben.  Who else is in that category for just pure strength, Cam?  Who else?

Nobody. The guys a beast. People don't really think of him like that. Partly because of his complextion, partly because he's such a pure passer, and partly because, frankly, he's such a goofy looking cuss, but he's as strong and as athletic as any QB in the league.
Oh, and he's much faster than Rothlisberger. same 40 time at the combine as Cam.
4.59 which by the way is better than 3/4 of a second faster than Brady ran. Saw that in an article when I looked it up. That's unbelievable. They'd beat him by like 30 feet in a 40.
Jeez.

I don't agree....that nobody thinks of him like that.  I do, and have.  I just said it.

I don't need to know his combine scores.  I know what I see with my eyes.  If he takes off and runs with the ball, he could run over people.  Which now makes me wonder, does he slide?  Maybe his coaches tell him to slide, and for that reason he has to.  But I'll bet if he could choose to go for an extra yard or two, he'd enjoy the collision.

He'll go for the yard if he needs it. Or if he's pissed off. He needs to work on that. He needs to work on his slide too. He'll us it when he should, but he looks like might hurt himself. Pretty awkward. Other than that, I think he may work out.
The Pats wil need to go back to zone for this game. If they rush 5 and play man, he'll just take 5 yards a pop all day long. When he decides to go he's so quick he's crossing the los rolling like an rb before anybody even reacts. They design runs for him too.
It just came to me. Young. That's who he reminds me of. Could never put my finger on it.

They can't play zone against T.Y. Hilton.  He'll smoke them by consistently finding open seams in the secondary.  Then the Pats will adjust.  But by the time they get around to it they'll be down by 14 or more.

Good thing I'm not coaching because I have no clue as to whether I should put Revis on T.Y. or on Reggie?  Probably T.Y.   Let Browner battle Reggie.  He'll get some flags, but they'll live with that if it stops Reggie from burning them too badly.  I don't know if there is anything BB hates worse than getting beat by some wr that gets by the safety.  That's why he plays a lot of stay back and "bend but don't break" bullshit, and it drives me crazy.  I can't stand to see the defense give up 20-30 yard plays time after time.  I'm yelling at the TV, "cover the damn guy will ya".  But BB is probably saying, "Relax, we'll tighten up once they're in the red zone."  Drives me nuts.

Pats blew them out the last two times they met.  But neither game was in Indy.

Indy is different this year - better.  But so is NE.

Both coming off a bye.  National TV.

Should be a good one.

My "bold prediction".  Two different Patriot tight ends not named Gronkowski will each have touchdowns.  You heard it here first.

They suck covering tight ends.
Suuuuuuuuuck.

I think the media must read this board because since I pointed out here the Bills game was the Pats first road win vs a winning team since 2010 I read it everywhere.
I was pretty proud of myself for coming up with that.

I'll give you the credit.  Good job, because not only its been in print, but discussed on sports talk radio in town too.  Numbers never lie, you know.  They are what they are.  (The only thing to debated about them is, are they relevant or meaningful, and do they help us reach any particular conclusions?)

Buuuuut, the home vs. away disparity in performances does not support you going down the dark road of spygate and saying BB must have found "something better", but "unnaturally", only at Foxboro.  Very negative inference there, and a low blow.  Shame on you. Mad  Razz Very Happy

That's one.  I would say Philip Rivers and even Joe Flacco seem to be pretty strong.  But not in the Luck/Ben/Cam class.  And Rivers and Flacco cannot run like these guys.

But I'm sure you would agree that quarterbacking is not simply all about athleticism and strength.  Those are great tools.  But probably the most important tool for a qb is the one between his ears.

Stanford degree in architecture and Academic All America player of the year just like Peyton, Drew Brees and Tim Tebow (2X).

Wellllll, the only other inference I can see that could be drawn is that they're poorly coached so, you could go with that if you'd like. Smile
I mean, Pats fans talk about 2009 as a down year. Brady coming back from injury, not a great lockerroom, injuries, Randy Moss starting to act like Randy Moss, it's no wonder they were "only" 10-6.
They were 8-0 at home. 2-6 on the road. Really 1-6. One game was in London.
Tell me there isn't just a little justifiable "WTF?" here .

I already did say something along those lines.

Well, you say "WTF?" for the great home record.   And I say "WTF?" for the "poor" road record vs. good teams.

So we BOTH say "WTF?"

WTF?

Randy Moss is a goddamn disgrace.
According to him he's the best there ever was.
No Randy, you weren't. You could have been. That's the disgrace.

Well, for some (far too) brief shining moments Randy was certainly fun to watch.  Randy didn't totally waste his gifts compared to some.  THE WORST offender in the history of the world as far as taking God given gifts and flushing them down the toilet was none other than a thug from Connecticut by the name of Aaron Hernandez.  (I don't even follow his court proceedings.  Could not care less.)
