Stat of the Day: Packers
The Packers under Mike McCarthy are a remarkable 56-9 when the defense holds the opponent to 20 or fewer points (an .862 winning percentage) and
74-21-1 (.776) when holding the opponent below 30 points.
Conversely, they’re just 6-24 (.200) when the opponent cracks the 30-point threshold.
Defenses, they win Championships.

I'd like to see comparable stats for other teams to see what the differential is.
I don't know if these stats suggest necessarily that defense wins championships. What I get is that if you have a killer offense, you don't need much from the defense to win.

What if you have an inept offense that cycles through four quarters of 3/outs or repeated turnovers that puts the time of possession squarely in the opponents hands? Did the other team's excellence on D win that game or your weakness on O lose it for you?
