The Browns have hired ex-Redskins OC Kyle Shanahan as offensive coordinator.
It took the Browns awhile to assemble a coaching staff, but Mike Pettine is in place as head coach, Jim O'Neil is the defensive coordinator, and Shanahan will hold the keys to the offense. Per the Cleveland Plain Dealer, it's a three-year contract for Shanahan. The Browns need to find a quarterback, and we'd expect them to do that with the No. 4 overall pick in May's draft. Cleveland also needs a running back, but being that this is Shanahan, he'll probably be able to work wonders with a late-round pick. We absolutely love this hire in regard to Josh Gordon. Andre Johnson, Pierre Garcon, and even Santana Moss dominated targets in Shanahan-run offenses from 2008-2013.
