Whatever Cleveland did to wrong the sports gods, they have surely paid their penance by now.
The latest Cleveland mishap came when the Browns signed Charles Johnson, a practice-squad wide receiver with the Green Bay Packers. Johnson was added to fill the roster spot of quarterback Brian Hoyer, who was placed on the injured reserve list when he tore his ACL.
The only problem? Charles Johnson also has a torn ACL.
The injury wasn’t discovered until Johnson’s physical with the team, but by that time it was too late. Because Johnson was signed from another team’s practice squad, he will have to be on the Browns’ 53-man roster for three games, per league rules.
Johnson was signed just before the Browns played the Lions, so the team must wait two more weeks before they can take him off the active roster.
Hang in there, Cleveland. We’re rooting for you.
Cleveland can’t catch a break.

You don't know? I considered Bernie a good quarterback but whenever you guys got close, something bad would happen. Like Byner fumbling the football or some other strange thing happening. A curse that lives today.wyckedheart8 wrote:What does that have to do with Bernie Kosar?diehardsteersfan wrote:Browns add player with torn ACL to replace player who left with torn ACL

Re: The curse of Bernie Kosar...
Those two AFC Championship games wasnt the fault of Kosar, The Defense allowed Denver to drive 98 yards in under 2 minutes the first year and as you said Byner fumbled the ball on the 1 the following year, if anything it was the curse of Marty Shottenhiemer and Fart Modell for fiering the GREAT Paul Brown after he bought the team.diehardsteersfan wrote:You don't know? Yea, I just picked a name but you've got to admit that at times it sure seems like your team is cursed.wyckedheart8 wrote:Those two AFC Championship games wasnt the fault of Kosar, The Defense allowed Denver to drive 98 yards in under 2 minutes the first year and as you said Byner fumbled the ball on the 1 the following year, if anything it was the curse of Marty Shottenhiemer and Fart Modell for fiering the GREAT Paul Brown after he bought the team.diehardsteersfan wrote:You don't know?
