Opening night Bruins style
Tonight is opening night for the Bruins who play the Tampa Bay Lightening.
Bring it on Tampa.
We already took care of your football team. Hockey next. Then your baseball team who is coming to Fenway. Then your women and children. LOL.

Nice. Coming from you, that is the highest of compliments.
Of course if the Saux lose the baseball game tonight, then ----
I'm told that as a fan it is better to never get too high, or too low. Its just sports after all.
But I never listen. LOL.

I've seen a lot of peeps (even on this board) get too high about their teams. I'm kind of in the middle. I am a big fan of my teams, but when they lose, I don't dwell on it. I just look forward to their next game. Unless of course it's the Super Bowl or Stanley Cup, then I'd cry if they lost! LOL

I hope you know I'm being a little tongue-in-cheek here. You can't take me at face value. When I'm too "high" or "low", its all part of my shitick and theatrics.
Besides, I've already been to the bottom of a bottomless pit. I've been to the worst depths of despair any human being could go. I've seen the darkest corners of hell. My team once went 18-0, and was leading the 19th game in the fourth quarter, and somehow they lost the game on a play by some guy on the other team wearing some kind of sticky helmut who never played football again after that. So after living through that nightmare, nothing phases me anymore. LOL.

I feel the Sox are going to go all the way this season! You might just be looking at a World Series win!

Ahhhhhhhh. No. Not the jinx. LOL.
The Rays are going with their best pitcher today, David Price, and he always has good success against the Sox. The odds say the series will be tied 1-1 after today going back to Tampa on Monday. But if the Sox somehow beat Price today, I think they'll sweep the Rays and move on.

I watched the whole game, all nine innings, beginning to end. That's hard to do with baseball during the regular season; the games are just too long. But this was an exciting playoff game. It felt good to be tense and nervous during a baseball game. Pretty cool. Now we wait to see who they play next.

A baseball game is always hard to watch on TV from start to finish. Glad you stuck it out! lol

Bobby Orr was on CBS News Sunday Morning, this morning. Great interview. I didn't realize he only played eight years in the league and retired at the age of 30 due to bad knees. When he left the league, he left broke. His agent embezzled all his money.

That is all correct. The agent's name was Alan Eagleson. He was famous as an agent, then notorious.
I knew a doctor who was teaching his medical students radiology and orthopedics. He held up an x-ray of a person's knees to the medical students, and he asked them, from looking at the x-rays, how old the person was? The med students answered "Those are the knees of an elderly person, maybe 70 or even 80 years old." The doctor said, "Nope. This is an x-ray of Bobby Orr's knees." True story.
