Former Raiders DB Stanford Routt, who the Vikings showed interest in, signed a three-year, $19.6 million deal with the Chiefs, according to a league source. Several teams had visits with Routt, but the interest level league-wide was said to be minimal.

So they say, the thing is CB's and DE's are always a hot commodity. On Defense the Vikings clearly need new Corners, Safeties. On Offense we need a new Tackle, a #1 possession Receiver as well as IMO new Running backs.
I doubt the Vikings will even try to get any stand out Free Agents, its just not in their blood to go after somebody unless their a true game changer. And the thing is, there isnt any promise's that can be freely given out with and sort of guarantee the team will go post season any time soon, so, in being said, that doesn't look good to a Free Agent player who thinks he wont have any future to play in a Super Bowl as a Viking.
