D'QWELL JACKSON Empty D'QWELL JACKSON

The Browns have to stop screwing around and sign this guy, he is the most important part of the Brown Defense , if they dont sign him they MUST franchise him and then go out and get themselves two outside LB's to shore up the run defense, its because of the outside LB's that the run defense sucked so bad last season, the speed on the outside is horrible plus they couldnt cover a NT if he declaired himself eligible.

Your right they do need offensive players, but they also need to keep their current best players. They'll get a deal gone most likely by way of the franchise tag. Cool

D'QWELL JACKSON Empty D'QWELL JACKSON WONT BE GOING ANYWHERE.

Post by wyckedheart8 Mon Feb 20, 2012 1:13 pm

D’Qwell Jackson won’t be going anywhere.

The Browns have already decided that they’ll place the franchise tag on Jackson if they’re unable to sign him to a long-term contract, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

That’s a sign of just how important Jackson was to the Browns’ defense last season, and that’s an extraordinary accomplishment: In 2009, Jackson suffered a torn left pectoral muscle, causing him to miss the final 10 games of the season, and in training camp in 2010, Jackson suffered a torn right pectoral muscle, causing him to miss the entire season. At that point, people didn’t know if Jackson would be able to make it back in 2012 at all, let alone make it back and be one of the best linebackers in the league.

Jackson came in second to Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford in comeback player of the year voting.

The Browns need OLB help BIG TIME if they are ever going to be able to stop the run.

I see what your saying. Gotta keep the good ones that you already have, then go get some more.
