Re: Whew......
I hate these early reports, all they are goin on is the doc twisten and turnin his knee to check for stability, the mri will tell the real story and as fatty protocol goes we probably wont find out the truth till Thursday or friday on cobb if its season ending.
Hell we never even really heard anything on what really happened to Starks knee.

Re: Whew......
It didn't look like an ACL when it happened. More of a hyper-extension, MCL, or severe patella (kneecap) bruise/blow.
Believe it or not, sometimes the pain shown by the player (as was the case with Cobb) is a GOOD thing. When major ligs get ruptured apart, it's like POP, Ow!, I'm okay! Uh, no, you're not.
If it's 3-5 weeks...I'm okay with that. We'll muddle through. MB might stoke out, but the Packers will muddle through.

Re: Whew......
I like Throttle's take the best. Let's just wait and see.
In any case, my sense at the time was that we lost Cobb for the season. Anything less and I'm a happy camper.
If we get both Jones and Cobb back for the stretch run, that's huge. The more I think about it, the more this game was a real gut check for the Packers... and they passed. Unlike in Cincy and Frisco, they came through in crunch time and in this game they were able to keep their poise through a real devastating pair of injuries. MM seems to do his best in situations like this.

Re: Whew......
This is all I could find about Cobb and Jones this morning. I guess we'll find out more in the next couple of days.
