Junior Seau Found Dead

Was found dead of an apparent gunshot/suicide incident. I guess life after football is not all its cracked up to be. He's had problems over the years; divorce due to assault charges; incident at a night club; a bizarre automobile crash which was called a suicide attempt, but then refuted. He was a popular player in San Diego, but I thought he was overrated. Too many cheerleading stuff after tackles.
I don't like a celebratory tackle when the opposition is already in winning field goal range. He played to the crowd, and I think being out of the limelight was difficult for him. often he would jump on the pile after a tackle was made by another player, and the public address guy would say "tackle by Junior Seau."

I remember a fellow Pats fan that used to say the same things about Seau, until he became a Patriot. Sorry to hear about his death.

I'm sorry to hear about his death too. Still hard to imagine one can voluntarily end one's life. After viewing the tributes that poured in all yesterday afternoon about Seau's life on and off the field, sad to conclude his was a troubled soul.

Many former athletes stay somewhat in the limelight by coaching or going into broadcasting. Neither equals the playing arena. Some former athletes retire behind a desk selling insurance or opening a bar and/or restaurant.

We can't question his motives for the action he took, just hope he is at peace.

RIP JR I remember him well I thoughts he was a good player surely a HOF. What a pitty to end his life this way.
