Diseased and Confused
Obviously, the last 3 weeks have been difficult for Packer fans to swallow. The last two losses were to unbeaten teams with superior defenses on the road. Yesterday's is truly the low. Performing as poorly offensively against a bad defense really is unimaginable.
It is almost like a spreading plague. A few players going bad and it before you know it the whole team is bed ridden.
ARod is pressing. He lacks confidence in his receivers. And he should. They just cannot make enough plays. What a dropoff from the talent of the Big Five in 2011. Pass rushers letting Stafford of all QBs slip through their grasp. Special teams allowing a 104 yard return. Davante Adams pushing a player after the whistle which forced us to punt. Rodgers declining to run with a first down in certain grasp only to throw long and over the head of a covered receiver. Cobb dropping what may have been a TD. Jones can make plays...if he ever can get open. Richard Rodgers, slow as molasses. Our O-line with 2 pass holding penalties against a Suhless Lion defense? And Crosby, who makes a 50 yarder in the Championship game against the twelfth man to send it to OT, completely makes the worst kick of his career when it is needed the most. Figure that one out. This is a 9 year kicking veteran and he duffs. Probably worse than Prater missing 2 PATs.
Jordy will be back next year hopefully and maybe we get a long tall sally receiver who can go up for it and a TE that can separate and put some fear into defenses.

Re: Diseased and Confused
Losing to Denver and Carolina on the road was not unexpected.
Losing to the Bears and Lions at home was unexpected
Winning in Detroit was a gift.
Sweeping the Vikings would be sweet.
Clearly the passing game is off with the loss of Jordy Nelson. All oposing defenses have to do is take away Cobb and not worry about anyone else deep. To compensate the Packers should concentrate on screens and short passes and a deep pass occasionally to keep defenses honest.
Luckily a good defense and an on and off running game gets them to a 9-4 record.

Re: Diseased and Confused
The biggest flaw in the offense is predicated in that Rodgers cannot go deep. He simply does not have the target to do it any longer. Janis can certainly run but he does not have the hands and route running skills to make this work like a Nelson or a Greg Jennings did. Jones had this ability up until a few years ago. He has lost a step for sure.
Teams don't worry about a TE that can split the seam any more. And they don't really have that reliable " 3rd down hands receiver " that can keep the chains going. Ty Montgomery has the speed and wing span to run the long one. But I don't think he has the body that will hold up to NFL punishment. In order to run the football when the opposing defense is tired our defense has to keep us in the game like it did Sunday. The Dallas D was on the field a long time because its inept offense kept getting 3 and outs. If we get behind enough Rodgers has to throw.
