Another reason for Starks signing?

Mike McCarthy said today that Jonathan Franklin still has a neck injury, didn't have surgery, and he doesn't have update.
Maybe Starks signing was about Franklin.

Hmmm... Could very well be. The concern with retaining Starks was about precious roster spots. Depending upon severity--this could mean problem solved by Franklin ending up on the PUP...

Hmmm... Could very well be. The concern with retaining Starks was about precious roster spots. Depending upon severity--this could mean problem solved by Franklin ending up on the PUP...
I think MM and TT just plain love Starks. It could be that innocent, humble smile he shows to the media.
