If the Browns were waiting until after the Super Bowl to try to talk to Adam Gase, they can proceed.
The Broncos offensive coordinator has told them [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] for their still-vacant head coaching job, via Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
Whether he was a favorite for the job or not, it still creates an embarrassing appearance for a franchise that was left at the altar by Chip Kelly last year. Gase had previously told the Browns he didn’t want to interview until the playoffs were over, and now he’s telling them no thanks.

A young first year coordinator, riding Manning's coat tail. I'm glad that someone who was half hearted doesn't want to interview. That probably means they will coach that way. Nobody knows how good he really is without Manning and Denver's loaded offense.

No good coach is going to come to Cleveland and take orders from banner. He's a piece of poop. Not to mention the other two bozo's, and I don't mean the owner.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Akron Beacon Journal, and NFL Network are all reporting Greg Schiano will not be the Browns' next head coach despite his Wednesday interview with the team.
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora simultaneously reported late Wednesday that Schiano is very much alive in Cleveland, but it sounds like the Browns are trying to throw water on the fire that erupted when word leaked of Schiano's interview. Multiple reports now indicate Bills DC Mike Pettine is the favorite, with Seahawks DC Dan Quinn not a serious candidate. So signs point toward Pettine getting the job. The NFL couldn't have handled another year of Schiano anyway.
