Now Mayo too?
Jerod Mayo, torn pectoral muscle? Surgery? U kidding me?
The leading tackler on the team, and one of the best in the league.
Done. Kaput. Ovah. Out for the year?
First hey have to go without their starting nose tackle, and now the starting middle linebacker too?
Devastating.
Think teams are going to run up the middle on the Pats?
Ya, I think so.
Oh well. Que the balloon being deflated sound.

Cry me a river. I see only 2 teams the Pats have to worry about the rest of the year.

Mayo plays 96% of the snaps on defense. He is a captain, He wears the headset and calls the coverages on defense. He is a team leader, in the locker room and on the field. He has lead the team in tackles for the past five years. This loss definitely hurts. You can't just move on as a team and think there will be no drop off with both him and Talib now missing -- the two best players on defense. If you do think there will be no drop off, you must really have incredibly high regard for Belichick's coaching ability and ability to adapt. You think he can just wave a magic wand, plug any old bottom of the roster guy into a Pro Bowler's spot, and not miss a beat?
I don't.
