Quarterback [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] expected wide receiver [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to show up for the start of training camp. That didn't happen.
There was a recent report that Wallace would end his holdout over this past weekend. And that didn't happen, either.
The earliest you should expect Wallace to return to Pittsburgh is Tuesday. Why? It's all about ensuring he doesn't play in Thursday's preseason finale. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter explains in the video

I couldn't agree more. Sitting out certainly doesn't help his cause in any way. And the Steeler front office has proven for years they don't negotiate this way.

Personally... I think if he doesn't sign and report this week, they should yank this tender and give him the lower one they can. If he refuses to sign it... let him sit.... then he'll find out he has to do it all over next year. The ONLY way he gets UFA is to sign the tender. Pittsburgh is NOT going to give him the kind of contract he wants, while he is acting this way.Dmounts wrote:Oh the times they are a changing.

The NFL Network reported tonight that he's going to be there tomorrow.

He better! If he wants the big pay day next year. What he does this year will determine what he gets in money next year should he go UFA.Dmounts wrote:.

His agent didn't want him to get hurt in the preseason, most likely. Makes sense to me, but it sucks that he's missed so many reps in the new offense.
