Fans "outside of New England" Empty Fans "outside of New England"

Post by guppy Tue Aug 04, 2015 9:29 pm

I love it when some moron says all the fans "outside of the homers in New England" think Tom Brady and the Patriots are cheats and liars.  Like they hold themselves out as speaking on behalf of all fans outside of New England.  Only a pompous asshole would say such a thing, or anything similar.  Well we know that not only is not only not true, but its a completely an idiotic thing to say.

Now, I am not going to go around different blogs and waste my time collecting posts from Non Patriots fans that think this whole "scandal" is a bunch of horse shit.  Suffice it to say there are plenty of Non Patriot people out there who think either (1) nothing was done wrong, or (2) IF something was done wrong, then what the NFL chose to do about it is the equivalent of giving a year in jail for a parking ticket, which is beyond ridiculous.

But I randomly came across this post from a Vikings fan, and I liked it.  So I am copying and posting it.  See, there are reasonable people out there capable of critical and intelligent thinking.

Unbiased Vikes fan here.

Your question implies there was something done wrong. The NFL concocted this story from nothing. There wasn't anything for Brady to "be involved with." We know this by Chris Mortensen's silence. We also know this from the Wells Report that then stated that maybe one ball was underinflated. Which is further supported by the science that we now know was well within the scientific range of the Gas Law.

So there's a reason there's "not enough evidence" and it's because there was nothing done wrong in the first place.

By releasing all of this information a logical person can see that he clearly didn't tell the ball boys to do anything illegal or improper. People always want to point the finger at the Pats without questioning ANYTHING Fuhrer Goodell and his cronies are doing or saying. It's ludicrous. I wholeheartedly believe this entire thing was a surprise to the Pats and they know they did nothing wrong. Which makes Kraft accepting the fine and draft penalties even more insane. He had to believe he had a good faith, handshake, wink-wink deal with Goodell to overturn this suspension. Which sounds like how the NFL Offices are typically ran.

There are obviously PLENTY more like this.  Some even better.  I've even seen some from Jets fans.  But this Vikings fan's take is enough for one evening.

Post them then. All of them. Post all the differing opinions too.

Your standard.

Anything less would be disingenous.

Again, your standard.

Yea. No it wasn't. Good pick there Gup. Notice another thing that Berman hasn't been asking about?

Hey! Where ARE Frick and Frack. Why haven't THEY been called? Why didn't Brady at least call them to the appeal?

I have an idea.

You have not impressed me yet with any of your "ideas".

Did you not read what I said at the get-go?  I've read them.  I've read a lot of them.  Some even from Colts fans (the reasonable ones possessing some level of common sense).  I said I have not collected and stored them for cutting and pasting.  Remember? No?  Doesn't matter.  Anyway, I did say it.

If you want to say, "No Gup, you didn't read any such things, I don't believe you", go ahead and say it.   Couldn't care less.  I do know what I've read.

Are you just mad bro that the longer this goes on, the more sentiment is turning against the NFL, and in favor of Brady?   The NFL through their bumbling is making him into a martyr.  Like I said, its crazy that the outrageousness of the league is so beyond ridiculous, it has got Suggs, Cromartie, Sherman, and now the Browns Joe Thomas speaking up in support of TB12.  Crazy huh?

But help me out here would ya?  Tell me on what page of the Wells Report* where Wells* assigned "conduct" to TB in relation to any proven deliberate actions by anyone to deflate balls below 12.5 for the January 18 game specifically?  I ask because Article 46 gives Goodell* authority to discipline for what he views in his judgment as "conduct detrimental".  Nothing in Article 46 about "awareness", whether it be general, specific, or otherwise.  Everyone knows that.  Only "conduct", not "awareness".  Sooooooo, what conduct re illegal ball deflation by Brady was identified in the Report*?  I don't recall any mention of TB making or receiving any texts, emails or anything like that.  No actual evidence that I recall.

So I do need help and I have no interest in reading the 243 pages again.  Just give me the page # where Wells* assigns "conduct" re ball deflation after referee approval to Brady, specifically in reference to the Jan. 18 game???  Because we know, as the judge has made clear, the Report* which was the basis for Goodell's* discipline concerned the Jan. 18 game only.
Page number(s) please.  Thanks buddy.  Really appreciate it.  You'll save me valuable time that I can better use elsewhere.
