Ted Wells to be sued for defamation...

...by Miami O-Line coach Jim Turner for Wells' lack of "independence" in the Dolphins "bullygate" scandal involving Richie Incognito (now with Buffalo).
In a blow to Mr. Turner the league hired "independent" investigator Ted Wells to look into the charges that Ted Wells was not "independent", and Ted Wells has "independently" concluded that Ted Wells was "independent" based on some innocuous text messages between Roger Goodell and a hooker on 42nd Street. On appeal, Roger Goodell had Ted Wells testify on the "independence" of Ted Wells, who testified that Ted Wells was in his opinion "independent". After careful "independent" consideration, Mr. Goodell upheld his own original finding that Ted Wells was "independent".
A relived Ted Wells immediately sent his bill to Roger Goodell for $5 Million, which Roger said was "a bargain" while praising the "independence" of Mr. Wells.
A request by the Associated Press for the transcript of the entire proceedings was DENIED by the NFL. A league spokesman said, "We don't reveal that stuff. You'll just have to trust us, OK?"

VERY interesting to hear OL Coach Jim Turner speak about Ted Wells and the Miami situation in his interview with Adam Schein. I listened to the whole thing.
