Great Effort, A Few Players Short Empty Great Effort, A Few Players Short

Post by milani Sun Jan 18, 2015 8:18 pm

Review:  Team played hard for all of 60 minutes. ( Not OT )

1) Capers game plan was excellent and it pretty much succeeded until the final 3:50 of regulation. His big blunder was the 3 man rush on 3rd and 19 after Matthews made a huge sack. I thought he learned from that mistake back in 2011. Led to the fake FG.

2) We still need a run stopper. Even though the guys kept Lynch in check in the first half he wore them done and even ran for a first own on 3rd and 6. Do we keep Raji or look somewhere else?

3) Bonehead plays:
A) Daniels taunting penalty after Dix INT. We have to settle for 3 instead of giving Rodgers a close shot at the end zone.
B) Hyde? If it was him. Sliding down after INT when there was a ton of real estate in front of him to get us into FG range or even pin
the Seahawks deep. If Shields had done this he'd have run because his ego is bigger. He did it against the Bears twice.
C) Mastay making about a 30 yard punt out of bounds when we need a boomer to at least tilt the field.
D) Bostick dropping an easy onside with sure handed Jordy behind him. We knew he would be cut next season. He had the starting TE
position locked up with Finley gone and Clueless left but gets beat out by a rookie Rodgers. You think he could just make one play in his
career while he is still in the NFL.
E) Dix failing to easily knock down a Hail Mary 2 point conversion. No excuse. The defense ran Wilson nearly out of bounds.

4) MM - I thought he called a good game. His team did not make enough plays. Don't fault him for taking the FGs. We probably get stopped on both 4th downs. He learned from the Detroit game 3 weeks ago. If Kuhn and Lacy can't get it in on 2nd and 3rd don't think
they will against this defense on 4th. His line just did not run block when they needed it.

5) Crosby - player of the game. 5 FGs. 2 critical long distance crunch time kicks in bad weather. First time in his career he saved us even for 14 seconds.

6) ARod. Great competitor. If he is healthy you know we win. He had many opportunities to gain 6, 10, 15 yards today and extend drives.

7) Offensive line - Great pass protection. But as Duck fails to see they are not superb run blockers. And without a TE that can block it leaves it all on the power of Lacy an the speed of Starks. Our last two drives when we are ahead we go 3 and out. And after the INT we lose 4, we lose 2, and give them the ball right back. If Dallas is in that position I doubt DeMarco Murray loses 6 yards in 2 plays. Lacy barely got the handoff and he is swarmed.

8)With all that I believe we win this game if it is played in GB. That unfortunate loss in Buffalo and the Seattle road wins down the stretch handed this to them. The better team on a given day does not always win. And today that was the case.

Errrrrrr Merrrrrr GERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD!!  The Seahags CHEATED!!!!!!!!  I cannot BELIEVE it!!!!  The league and refs are obviously BIASED against our Parkers!!  I am SO mad right now!!  When I went to the local Piggly Wiggly in all of my Parkers clothing (people really think I am Aron Rogers!), the customers there had the nerve to make fun of me and my boo boo calf!!  I was OUTRAGEDED!!!  How DARE they!!! I told them that our offensive line is the BESTEST in the WORLD, especially since Pro Fortball Fucus said so!!!!  I said the same thing at my local, Ginny and Williams right down the street from where I live.  They LAUGHED at me!!!  I can't take it!  Don't people know that Parker fans self-worth is TOTALLY tied to how the team does?!?!?!  DAMMIT!!!  Now what do I have to live for???  I swear, Mike McCarthly is the best coach EVER, and Aron ROgers is the BEST QB in the HISTORY OF THE WORLD!!!  How could Rodger Goodall do this to us?!?  It's a conspiradcy, I tell you!!  A CONSPIRADACY!!!!  I can't even muster the strength to ride my tricycle around the neighborhood today.  You know, the one painted in the glorious Parker colors or mustard yellow and slime green!!  With all my Parker clothes on.  Last time, people actually handed me delicious, highly-rated Beeradvocart rated microbrews and flowers, since they thought I was Aron Rogers!!!  Now they might throw rotten vegetabels at me!!  Oh, the DISGRACE!!  NO!!!  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Green Bay Choked. Your coach should be fired 6inches the best QB in the game and he puts the field goal unit in? What a dip shit.

6 inch passes are not his specialty especially against the Legion of Boom. 11 years ago Favre and Sherman were 6 inches away from taking a 21-7 lead against Philly. We had rushed for nearly 1900 yards that year behind a line that made our current one look like high school. The odds said to go for it on the road. We got stopped. We lost by a FG in OT. Had we taken the 3 we would have won in regulation and gone to the SB that year. Take the points if you cannot get it done on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

the outcome of this game will be debated till the sun burns out.For anyone who is feeling bad emotionally  about this game just think how arod feels,he was on the field,we as fans were in our easy chairs.Arod loves his stats such as his low interceptions and passer rating,he must feel pretty bad as his legacy is taking a hit as he will be seen as another payton manning and cant win against great defenses and the big game, forget 2010 as its a win now and what have you done lately that the fans feast on.I believe pack will make it to the super bowl with arod, its just not known when that will be, next year,2 years from now or arods last season.

The blame can be placed on many individuals, burnett taking a knee, peppers for telling him to do it, arod missing jordy in the end zone, quarless drop, jordy drop, capers rushing 3 with Elliot the 3rd guy a spy as they were worried the qb was gonna get out of the pocket and run for 19 which was very possible. Capers going with no safeties on the winning td pass thinking they were gonna run and qb checked out when he seen no safety.Bostick, enough said. Spring training starts in a month and a half,go orioles.

listening to the packers radio show on the computer here in the philippines, the chuck and wicket show and the big show with leroy butler, they were pissed as clay mathews wasnt in the game for the hawks last series in the 4th Q which got them the lead because clay said that he was emotionally and physically exhausted all the while richard sherman played with one arm and another played with a dislocated shoulder. They say that mathews was seen constantly running his hands through his hair while on the sideline and it wasnt a joke to the radio team they were upset as mathews is even quoted as sayng this to a reporter on a monday sports show.I am very dissapointed in the man as he showed NO MAS.

Then the name they are giving to peppers now is the No Mas man as burnett had only 2  guys to beat and peppers was a blocker but as we saw in disbelief burnett goes down as the big leader peppers tells him NO MAS and i was shocked like WTF and then i thought well i guess if peppers said to go down as the announcers said he was motioning him to then we are goin to the superbowl yeah!!!!!,BLOW ME.

As I watched this game I'm saying to my buddies. What the hell are the Packers doing? Mathews is primping himself on the sidelines and not on the field. He's to tired, are you shitting me? People can say what they want about Sherman, he's got a big mouth, but, he's a gamer baby. When Burnett went down, once again I said what the hell are the Packers doing? I would have bet a grand at half time the Packers were going to win. Sure glad that didn't happen. Spread the blame around.

sorry for coach fattys loss of his brother RIP,but i wonder if his brothers heart attack had anything to do with the packers losing the game and he emotionally couldnt handle the stress of watching the game and his heart gave out? Shit like that happens all the time.

Post by throttleplate Sat Jan 24, 2015 12:06 am

i am myself over this cluster fuck of a loss as i have my own fuck ups to tend to daily.I am very interested to see what the pack does with House and Williams, cobb, baluga, kuhn, peppers, bostick, hawk, jones, bush, flynn, raji, giun, boykin, slocum and fattys, capers, slocums delayed press conferences.

I am excited for this coming seasons draft, free agency as i think TT will surprise us this year as he did with peppers. Both janis, abberdanis are going to be fighting for a job and fatty with this loss stuck to his ass like a giant gouiter he will come out a better game day coach and come crunch time in the playoffs go for the kill shots and take no prisoners.

Rodgers needs to do better as a big game qb,he turns into peyton manning win it comes to the big one,i think his ego is damaged from the constant loosing and he knows it all to well and i hope he can do what he did in 2010.

This loss reminds me of when the broncos lost to the jaguars in the playoffs way back when the jags were a new team still and it was a crushing blow but broncos came back year later and won the superbowl against you know who.

I see the pack out to get it right this 2015 and be in the superbowl

I remember that 30-27 Coughlin win over the Broncos. The Natron bomb was dropped on them. We were meant to face the Broncos in the SB that year instead of Bledsole and the Pats but that is football. Also, Carolina and Capers upset the defending Boys. Another surprise.

But this loss eclipses our 2003 debacle in Philly. That game was on ice for 4 quarters. One pivotal play at any one time would have changed the outcome. We had a 12 point lead with 4:00 to go and the football in good field position last Sunday. No way do you blow this one.

Eerie similarities to that game, however.
Pack had a 14 point lead early. We sacked McNabb 7 times. Eagles miss a chip shot FG. Eagles fumble. Ahman Green makes a 45 yard run to set up 1st and goal at the 5 but has to come out for 3 plays because he suffers from asthma just like Eddie Lacy. Sherman opts to go for it on 4th and a foot and fails unlike MM who takes the 3 points. Pack get stopped in the red zone in the 4th and settle for 3. With the lead and the ball the Pack March down the field on the ground against a gashed Eagle defense. Favre tries to run for it on 3rd and 3 and is stopped just short at the 38. Sherman opts to punt on 4th and 1  with 2:00 to go and Puntwell's kick goes in the end zone for a touchback much like Mastay's 28 yard punt last Sunday. One first down and the deal is sealed. Eagles convert a 4th and 26. Favre throws a long pick and the rest is history. Sherman put the game on his defense much like MM did late in the game.

It's ironic that these close ones that depend on one or two plays succeed for the great coaches and seem to fall short for the ones who are only pretty good. How is it that these plays worked out for Lombardi all but one time? Players have to make plays but how do you prepare them to come through at crunch time instead of choking?

2015 will be one the MOST exciting and challenging Packers regular seasons in a long time.   At home......the NFC North, Seahawks, Cowboys, Rams, Chargers and Chiefs.   On the road the NFC North, Carolina, Denver, Cardinals, Raiders and 49ers.    The Seahawks and Cowboys games at Lambeau Field are going to be prime timers I bet.
