Amen Thor.
What a beast he is and he did what nobody else has been able to do coming back in an unheard of time frame, as a running back no less.
Suspect that without him (and Harvin) we would have struggled to have duplicated last years 3-13.

If minn makes the playoffs then I would say yes mvp, if they fall short then it's Manning.

As PURPLE as I am, I totally understand your thoughts.
I am SOOO hoping AP gets it but still "trying" to be objective. Define the term MVP and you must look at what a particular team would have done without this one person. The Vikes without AP?? OUCH, I'd hate to think of our record. The Broncos without Manning?? Certainly not the record they now have but still think Manning was less an MVP when considering what AP has accomplished with the Vikes...not that I am biased...LOL.
Same goes for "Comeback Player of the Year". NOBODY expected AP to return so soon after an ACL/MCL as that injury would take a year of rehab and name me one who has returned in less time, and if there is anyone who has done this, let me guess, their performance was a huge drop off.
OK, let the Purple flow...AP for both honors.

Thor--
Agreed. Was thinking about Manning leaving Indy and had this thought about the Vikes going after him. Understand totally why they avoided getting into a bidding war as he was such an unknown missing the last season, 4 neck surguries...he could have well been a bust but kudos to Denver for taking that shot....Denver won that game.
You are spot on in opposing defenses plan on stopping AP and what the hell can a team do as to a QB like Manning?? And the Vikes have little for receivers except for Harvin and he is gone for the year. We have some young guns for the future and that is a positive but Ponder has to improve for longer passes. Manning would have gotten us more wins but that is all history right now.
So hoping we take the Packers down. That last game gave me some hope this team is emerging.

I can see your points. I could see AD winning both or even splitting the trophies. I can also see P. Manning doing the same. If you take your reasoning replace AD's name with P. Manning you could make the same points. Either way the NFL is in a win win.
